This year’s theme, “One Earth, One Health,” reminds us of the deep connection between our personal well-being and the well-being of the planet we call home.
When I reflect on this theme, I’m reminded that in the yogic tradition, health is viewed holistically. It's not just about physical fitness—it's about tending to our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being in a way that’s authentic and aligned with the season of life we’re in.
This kind of health becomes a reflection of how we move through the world—how we treat ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we engage with the natural world. Yoga teaches us that everything is interconnected. From the tiniest insect to the tallest tree, we are all part of nature. We are not separate from it—we are it.
When we honour and care for ourselves, we are more equipped to care for others and to live in harmony with our planet. By grounding ourselves in love, presence, and awareness, we begin to see the beauty and magic in both our inner and outer worlds.
Yoga brings us home to ourselves. It reconnects us to our essence—one of compassion, peace, and unity.
So today, I invite you to celebrate yoga not only through physical movement, but by simply being fully present. As you go about your day, notice the people, animals, and plants around you. Feel your connection to all living things. The word yoga literally means “to unite”—and in a world that often thrives on highlighting our differences, perhaps the most powerful thing we can do is remember how deeply alike and connected we truly are.
If you’d like a gentle, grounding practice to support this feeling of unity and presence, I invite you to join me in this 20-minute yoga flow. It’s suitable for all levels—including pregnancy and postpartum—and will guide you back into your body, your breath, and your heart.

Wishing you a beautiful International Yoga Day, however you choose to honour it.And remember—yoga isn’t just something we do. It’s how we live.
May all beings be happy and free.
